Coopervision, Fareham, Portsmouth

Microtech IMS was instructed to supply and install 300 Category 6 UTP LSZH data outlets within the client’s 1st floor head office. The requirements were to replace the existing Category 5e installation and install the new cabling system along side the existing network until the required cut over.

Cabling was installed through the false floor void utilising the existing cable containment saving the customer costs within the budget. The project was carefully planned and the works completed out of normal working hours to avoid any disruption and inconvenience to the working staff. The project was completed within the allocated time scales and within budget.

Coopervision, Nice, France

Microtech IMS are often called upon to work a miracle and restore patching cabinets to a tidy, organised and workable condition. We were asked to go to our client’s Nice office, France and carry out a full computer room upgrade.

The work involved supplying and installing new data cabinets, dismantling the whole network whilst improving cable management and re-patching with the correct length patch leads and conforming to the client’s colour scheme.

While we were there we also carried out complete site documentation and tested the existing Category 5e network. The works was carried out over a weekend to avoid disrupting the business.

Coopervision, Milan, Italy

Microtech IMS were asked to go to our client’s Milan office, Italy and carry out a full computer room upgrade.

The work involved supplying and installing new data cabinets, dismantling the whole network whilst improving cable management and re-patching with the correct length patch leads and conforming to the client’s colour scheme.

While we were there we also carried out complete site documentation and tested the existing Category 5e network. The works was carried out over a weekend to avoid disrupting the business. We were also required to install AP’s through out the warehouse and office area to provide additional coverage for the picking guns. To supply and install 2No 55” screens and brackets for the VC unit within the board room

Office Relocation for Computer 2000

Microtech IMS was instructed to carry out the relocation of all staff from the existing location to the new headquarter For the relocation Microtech deployed a dedicated project manager and team of qualified IT engineers for Computer 2000’s relocation.

Working closely with Computer 2000’s IT and facilities management divisions, Microtech coordinated a phased relocation which would ensure maximum operational continuity, and enable the thorough testing of IT equipment. Over a period of one weekend, Microtech successfully relocated Computer 2000’s IT infrastructure.

Consisting of over 550 users Microtech engineers carried out all elements of the project, providing Computer 2000 with the added peace of mind that its IT equipment was in the hands of professionals.

Global Cosmetics Company

Microtech was contacted by a major high street cosmetics company to install their latest till technology (OCT) and Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) systems.

Working in conjunction with the customer’s management refurbishment team, Microtech have worked nationwide in 50 company stores and within all the major high street stores, including House of Frasier, Debenhams, Boots, Selfridges and Harrods. Work was completed to very tight deadlines to minimise impact and disruption to retailers and their customers.

Client in Madrid

A customer based in Madrid required a new fibre optic link from their existing offices to their new manufacturing and distribution building situated within the same trading estate.

Microtech sent a team of engineers to Spain to install the new fibre optic cable between the two buildings via a series of underground car parks. The project was completed within the timescale and within budget to the customerӳ satisfaction.
